It’s not a complicated question. Do you have a signature scent? Most women own at least 5 fragrances but rotate between two of them all year. I keep trying new ones because someone smells good when she walks past; yet I keep using what are considered classics for me. I like “big” fragrances. I like my scent to linger. I like for a memory of my succulent scent to trail or fill a room. Funny statement a girl made to me this summer when I was in the park and a slight breeze blew. I was wearing Angel by Thierry Mugler. She stated, “You smell delicious.” Today I went to Sephora and wanted a new fragrance.(side note: I bought Flower Bomb last week and as it’s ranked top selling between 2-4 depending on which Sephora you go in-it didn’t do it for me- $115 later, at least I got a pretty bottle. BTW it was also declined by the male nose I passed it under. I was iffy about it for 2 weeks, yet impulse purchased- DO NOT IMPULSE BY A FRAGRANCE). Back to my story, I was cheered up today by the woman I asked to smell my wrist after spritzing with COCO by Chanel( a me classic). The word used yet again was “delicious”. SOLD!

Now, the true test is to get a sample from the store and try it for 7 straight days. Count your compliments, test the stay power and see if it makes you feel ‘Pretty”. If you want a softer scent try the Eau de toilet. If you want staying power, Eau de Parfum is the way to go. Once you finish the “week of wear” test on a few fragrances for the month, buy one!
My next bold scent in the tester bottle is Tom Ford’s Black Orchid. We shall see.
Never knew you could get a sample; Several stores will make you a tester. Try the Bloomies, Nordstrom and Sephora. It’s an awesome thing.
